Note: essay 1 wrong era

Today I found out that I have been writing about the wrong era of typography. I have been looking as far back as the ancient greeks and romans who were the inventors  of the alphabet as we know it, however Simon has said that I should only focus on the last 600 years since Guttenberg. However I can still reference typography pre Guttenberg but only as a comparison. This is a little frustrating as I was enjoying the history to some extent although it does make sense and I'm starting to see how quickly 1250 words will go. I need to be concise and to the point with more contemporary typographic practices. I'll start again tomorrow.
